Winter, Liberty Corner

Liberty Corner, New Jersey on a cold winter Sunday morning. Done in an ink and wash technique, the ink drawing done with a shaved down wooden matchstick stuck in a piece of garden can, a method I've learned from some English landscape painters that I admire. The irregular matchstick gives an unpredictable character to the line, almost like a charcoal drawing.
